Crikey!!

I'm reading a book about Steve Irwin at the moment. It's by his wife, and its called 'Steve and Me'. I always liked the Crocodile Hunter, he was an entertainer, a real larger than life character. Essentially though, I saw him as a bit of a clown if I'm honest.

Halfway through this book however, I'm getting a new appreciation for him. Yeah he was funny, diving about on the dirt chasing lizards and shit and talking to them, but there was a lot more to him than that. His style was how he got people to watch him, but his motivation for doing it wasn't that he wanted to be a star, or wanted to be rich, it was all about the animals.

Him and his wife, Terri, made a decision that they would each take a salary, but the rest of the money they made from the tv shows and that, would be ploughed back into conservation, most of it into the zoo they ran.

I can't be arsed reviewing the book, for one thing I haven't even finished it yet. I just wanted to say that Steve Irwin was fucking boss and I wish he was still with us.

Why couldn't that stringray have clipped some fucking reality tv douche instead of good old Stevo? Life ain't fair.
