Australian keeper who joined the reds in the summer of 2007 after impressing during a trial the previous season. The competition for places is so intense amongst the young goalkeepers that it was difficult for any of the lads to get a regular game. Dean was competing with Martin Hansen for a place in the u18 side, and with Hansen, Dave Martin, Charles Itandje and Peter Gulacsi for a spot in the reserves.
Overall, he acquitted himself when when called upon, and impressed enough to earn a move to Melwood to train full time with the reserves.
