converting WMA files to MP3

hi guys. Just got myself an Ipod classic and as a result i am currently converting all my old WMA files (have always used Windows Media Player) to MP3 so i can upload them onto Itunes/my ipod.

However, i cant find any free downloads that enable me to convert my files in bulk. I have over 60 gig worth of music and at the moment i'm having to convert each album one by one as all the free downloads i have found have only been demo's. anyone know of any good software that will allow me to do this?

According to the Apple website:

Converting WMA Files

In iTunes for Windows, you can convert your unprotected WMA files to AAC files (or whatever file format is chosen in the Importing pane of iTunes Preferences) without changing the original WMA file. Simply drag the WMA files into your library in iTunes and iTunes does the grunt work, converting them for you. Windows Media Player 9 or later must be installed to convert unprotected WMA files. Protected WMA files cannot be converted.

The above is true, just make sure you've got enough spare space on your Hard drive (unlike me) or your PC will grind to an halt!

It copies them all into a new folder as an MP3 (if that's what you've set iTunes up to use).
