Well we got out on that ice and started spinning around doing 360s and 180s all over the ice slugging down Jack Daniels as fast as we could. That’s when I heard the most horrible sound I ever heard in my life and I knew we were going through the ice!

Our kids PS3 makes a bit of a racket too, probably more than it should as it lives in an enclosed cabinet under the telly. Gets rather warm, too.

The USB fans do more damage to your console, and in my experience actually cause them to heat up more.

I run a desk fan a few feet away from the back of my PS3 and that seems to help a little.

To be fair, it does take a while to heat up, pretty much the same as the 360.

I've had both my PS3 and 360 running side by side for the past couple of days and I honestly couldn't say which one heats up quicker, though the 360 does get louder.
