You should mate, yes. I doubt you'll notice much difference, but you should always have Windows updated with the latest driver fixes, bug fixes etc.

If you're machine ends up a smoking broken mess though, we never spoke, capiche?

One notable difference is when copying from drive to drive, Vista SP1 is a bit quicker. Apart from that, the usual security fixes and so on.
