LCD Question
Which is better, progressive or interlaced? I assumed it was progressive but I'm not sure and before I fork out for this bad boy, I'd like opinions please.

Here goes, a basic explanation:-
Progressive scan means that every horizontal line will get scanned, while interlaced means that every second lines gets scanned by the eleccy gun/power thing. Therefore, if every line is scanned, you should get a better picture.
Thats has basic has I can get, from my previous experience. Hope I've helped.

Great set.
I've the X series of the same tv, and it's gift.
As for the p and i thing. All LCD are p and i, just depends on pixels. All LCD's (I think) will do 720p and 1080i, but only the newer version will do 1080p.

I think so yeah. I don't know why it says 1080i because it should be capable of displaying 1080p, although not native. Can find out more by Googling the product number TH42PX80B. I have a slightly different (earlier, I think) model and it brings me much joy. They consume a lot of leccy but it's worth it. They have good sound too, if you're not hooking it up to a surround sound system.
