Do your work.

Captain Beaky and his band in the 70's. I still have no idea who sung that.

The earliest I bought was Arfur Daly E's alright by The Firm.

Macca and the Frog Chorus. I got the 45 for Christmas and a Lego train set. Best Christmas ever.

Re: What is the earliest novelty record you remember?

Either Shaddap ya face or the Frog Chorus (if that counts?). I may have been too young to completely remember Joe Dolce being the charts, but I was defo around and remember it being on radio and such like.

Lucily I have never bought, knowlingly at least a novelty record, however my brother did buy me Stutter Rap by Morris Minor and the Majors.

Something must be wrong with your vocal technique
When the 12" mix goes on for a week

Frog Chorus definitely counts.

Re: What is the earliest novelty record you remember?

Funky moped and Funky gibbon were both out in 1975, so i deffo don't remember that, but they were still being used at school discos in the late 70s

Re: What is the earliest novelty record you remember?

Ali Baba records in Walton Vale used to have a box of ' ex Juke Box records' at a ridiculously low price & I shamefully succumbed to Nice One Cyril by The Cockerel Chorus

Once a mate pointed out the Spurs connection it got binned.

The Scaffold, 1968.

My first memory is from when I was 5, can you imagine how much shite I've heard in my life? And that's not counting cup final songs or world cup songs!!!

God I forgot about Fly the flag with Ron Greenwood in his dodgy trackie on the front. Still got that on a 45 somewhere.
