Chippy's that give you "digestive difficulties"...

...now I am one of these people who don't have any problems with my digestive system. When I break wind it rarely smells (whereas one of my mates clears the room/pub/continent when he lets rip), however there's this chippy on the route between my house and local. Everytime I have something fried from there I end up spending much of the next morning on the "porcelain telephone".

This is not confined to me as my best mate also suffers the same problem whenever he eats there. There is something they are doing/not doing that is causing this. My suspicion is that they don't change the oil as regularly as they should do.

Now I know I shouldn't eat there, but after a couple of pints my sense of reason goes out of the window and the lower brain functions take over. I avoid it like the plague when I am sober.

Anyone else got any tales of places to avoid.

If i have anything like that it comes out in liquid form.

The Marmaris on County road, and the plaza are two culprits.

I also have the problem with KFC, Burger King and Maccies so its me rather than them I suspect.

The row of shops opposite Bebington station in Wirral has loads of takeaways and restaurants. Apart from the Chinese at the top, they're always shutting down and then something different reopens in its place.

I was told by someone who works for the environmental health to never eat food from any of them because they're all infested with rats and despite trying everything, they can't get rid of them. That's why they all keep getting shut down.

Absolutely. Although I'm glad to hear that the Oriental Delight isn't guilty as it's boss in there. Never buy from a chippy that is directly next door to a shop that has been boarded up for ages.

My dad does work on vents and air flow systems for a living and he gets a lot of work for chippies and fast food places who want new fans, canopies and ventilation shafts put in. Anyway, he was doing work in the Athena and he said to me that that place has the worst kitchen and ventilation system he's seen in 20 years.

He was taking apart the ventilation system and he said that there was five years worth of fat and grease clogging it up. He then told the owner that he had to get it cleaned but he refused to do anything about it.

I've steered clear of that place since he told me about it.
