Get out and vote people.
Fingers crossed the Lib Dems get kicked out.

Re: Council elections
I'm facing a dilemma. Labour, my vote of choice since I was a nipper seemingly cannot win in my area. They were way way off the pace last time, but I voted for them anyway.
The libdems got in but by something like 26 votes ahead of the tories. It would seem even the odd vote round here can make a big difference.
Do I vote Labour, as I would if they stood any chance of winning, or I do help make sure the LibDems keep the fucking tories out of office?

It will make you feel dirty but once you try it you will feel so much better.

Re: Council elections
Noos, nowt wrong with a little tactical voting as long as it keeps the Tories out.
The Tories dont even bother round here.

Re: Council elections
You could draw a blade across my throat before I'd vote Tory mate. That is not an option for me. My quandary is whether to use my vote tactically, or vote for the party I support.

I went to school with Frank Prendergast's son.
His nickname was Bombhead.
Because he had a swede like a fucking armchair.

Re: Council elections
I've always voted Labour, always will, as did my Dad and my Grandad before him, but if that wasn't incentive enough, I shall vote Labour just to spite Strontium Dog

Same for me mate. But if the Tories had a chance to get in, and Labour were out of the running, what would you do?

Re: Council elections
I'm not voting, even though my polling station is just over there *points over the road*, because I can't be bothered. I'm championing the apathetic cause.

BOOOOOO - You've got to vote, SKI. If you don't, for my money you have absolutely no right to complain about anything at all.

Seriously though, I hate that feminist argument. I'm grateful for the right to vote, but I equally have the right not to vote if I so wish.

But if I did vote, and the party I vote for wins, then I lose any complaining rights too. If I wanted a new pair of pretty pink sandals, but in the shop they only had blue DMs, a pair of red wellies and some orange crocs, I wouldn't buy any of them.
Besides, I've moved house since registration and I haven't got a polling card.
