Re: Misheard Lyrics
Nice one,
Have to admit when I was younger I always thought Kenny Rodgers was singing "Four Hundred Children and a crop in the field"

Re: Misheard Lyrics
There is a girl at work who thought that the Ace of Base song "All that she wants" was All that shoe box!
Typical woman thinking about shoes all the time.

A guy at my old job thought that Sexy Boy by Air was called Sexy Merlin. Mind you, this guy also thought that the Scissor Sisters were straight.

Re: Misheard Lyrics
I'd be here all day. My ears aren't very finely attuned.
- "just a word in Mr Churchill's ear" (Oliver's Army) became "just the waiting list of churches here"
- 90% of "Come on Eileen". Me and Dave used to play a game of singing it and laughing our heads of at each others words.
- "Out on the wiley, windy moors we'd roll and fall in green". (Wuthering Heights) became "Out on a winding windy moor sweet Roland fall in brie"
- "My hands felt just like two balloons" (Comfortably Numb) was "My head smelt just like two balloons".

Re: Misheard Lyrics
When I was younger me and my sister had a massive argument over M Jacksons "Annie are you OK". I insisted he was talking to Eddie.

Re: Misheard Lyrics
I'm talking to the man in the mirror,
I'm asking him to change his ways,
And no moustache could've been any quiver...

The Who- Baba O'Riley
Just after
Don't cry
Don't raise your eye
It's only teenage wasteland
I hear
"Sally, take my ham"
Always feel a bit hungry after.

That reminded me of my Mum telling me she liked "Jamaica" by REM. I said I'd never heard it and she goes "Oh you must have. 'Coming to Jamaica, coming to Jamaiiica-aa, Coming to Jamaica'".

Re: Misheard Lyrics
As an old fecker, I remember a bbc drama in the 70s called "I'm a dreamer Montreal" which was about misunderstandings. I think I pretended to be interested in it in case there were some tits in it. There weren't and it was shite but I had to watch it to the end so as not to ruin the hard won child who appreciates drama alibi I'd earned with my liberal parents, which later allowed access to great programmes with tits in like the Borgias etc. And by the way the song was 'I'm a dreamer aren't we all'. Oh and I spent years trying to understand what Michael Stipe was singing on Murmour and Fables of the Reconstruction.
