The screen presence of Forrest Whitaker...
He steals every scene he is in.
In The Shield he was awesome and I have just watched The Last King Of Scotland and he was the same in that.
He also looks like he is taking the piss when he is being serious, much like Jack Nicholson.

He's awesome in both of those.
I've had nightmares about him though.

He's fantastic in the Crying Game.
But his finest moment has to be blood sport.

When he was in Phenomenon he was awesome. That scene where George Marley phones him at 3am, to tell him that the rabbit was fenced in all along, will live long in the memory.

About three months back I dreamt I was on the run from him, wherever I hid he'd always turn up looking for me but leave just before he found my hiding place.
I'd be hiding under the bed and hear him talking to my mum dowstais, quite politely asking If she knew where I was, then I'd see his feet when he came in the room, but them he fucked off at the last minute.
So I thought 'fuck this that was too close' then went to hide around the back of my mate's garden shed, I was tangled up in nettles and shit but thought 'fuck it at least I'm safe'.
Next thing he comes out into the back garden with my fucking mate, starts looking around casualy with this vacant grin on his face, but instead of looking more closely he just fucked off again.
It's like he was reminding me there was nowhere to hide, without actually 'needing' to put the cuffs on me. It was actually quite scary.
Anyway.

Lol, that sums him up perfectly. He could either charm you to death or massacre you.

He's not scary in the Shield. I'm not having that.

Not scary per se, more that his mere presence is very intimidating and is felt throughout that whole season.

He hasn't had me in tears or anything but he turns on a sixpence and is generally a fucking loon.
He's nice to someone and then he's like 'If you try to screw me, you'll never see the streets again, but hey no need to get that far right? Gimme five!'
When he flips out on Lem and puts him in the cage it's just an unbelieveable performance.

Ghost Dog is his best role in my opinion. Here's my favourite scene - where he meets another Samurai (played by RZA) in the street - by way of celebration:

Re: The screen presence of Forrest Whitaker...
Just watched Last King Of Scotland last night. Kinell, that was full on! Brilliant performance from Whitaker though, he does a great job of putting himself on the edge of sanity.
Seriously though, watching movies like that which are quite heavily based on true events makes you think about some of the shit you complain about in everyday life, such as petrol prices, traffic, etc. Pretty pathetic really.
