Liverpool u18s shadow squad defeated Newcastle United 4-3 in a thrilling game at the Academy this morning. The reds were three up at half time, but within 15 minutes of the restart the Geordies had staged a remarkable comeback to draw level at 3-3, but their joy was short lived as the reds grabbed a fourth and held on. Liverpool's goals were scored by Ben Parsonage, Michael Scott and Lee Woodward (pictured) - who featured in Monday night's Youth Cup Final 1st leg defeat - as well as an own goal.
