NYE in Liverpool

what's good in Liverpool on new years eve?

I like live bands, pubs, dancing, the usual. Don't really want to go clubbing.

anybody suggest anything?

I don't like New Years Eve (or NYE as you MySpace heads call it). It's overatted and always a let down.I like doing something but can never be arsed queing for 3 hours to get in my local or being sandwiched in a bar like a fucking sardine. This year me and the missus are going to a Greek night at a restaurant in Hoylake (or is it Heswall, I can' remember). I'm really looking forward to it because its un-new years eveish and thats what I like.

Zorbas on Hardman Street is the best. Real authentic Greek food. As good as it is in Greece. All the meat and fish is done on charcoal for that authentic Greek flavour. Number if you want it is 0151 709 0190.

I'm going to a house party so I don't have to take a knife out with me for the inevitable ambush whilst trying to get a taxi in Manchester.

Re: NYE in Liverpool

Chibuku should be good. All the various residents/regulars are playing - including my mate. I could get guest-listed if I wasn't so slippered-up. NYE equals staying up till 10.30 in our house, these days.

Last year was the first year we didn't even bother staying up. Bloody neighbours fire works woke us up though. Ditto this year tbh.

Whos your mate?

We've been to Chibuku the past 4-5 NYE, its always a great night with just the residents on and nutters in fancy dress.
