Put Oasis down for the Wig. It's a generation thing, the Stone Roses are boss aswell.

Put it down yerself you lazy twat.
I've got for Joy Division but it was a tight call with a couple of others; namely Oasis and The Smiths.
Never been a big Stone Roses fan.
If we did this poll in ten years time you'd all understand why Liam Frost is there. He's ace and he's gonna be big; I'm tellin' ye baby.

Best Manchester Outfit ever? The one Denis Law was wearing when he back-heeled the ball into the net at Old Trafford and relegated Utd.

Re: Best Manchester Outfit ever
manchester bands do not piss all over Liverpool. There are a few good bands from Manchester but none that have had anything like the impact that the Beatles have had. The likes of Joy division/new order and the smiths were original/one offs but within quite a niche sector called indie.
for the hollies there is gerry and the pacemakers, for inspiral carpets is teardrop explodes, for the buzzcocks there is elvis costello, for the happy mondays there is frankie goes to hollywood. for the charlatans there is the lightening seeds.
The beatles solo careers shit all over most of that list before you even start to look at their work as a group.
The smiths, joy division/new order, stone roses and oasis have all been the darlings of the music press but that doesnt make them better than what has come out of Liverpool over the years

Yes it does. You're wrong. The stregth in depth from Manchester pisses all over Liverpool. Doves versus Cast? Don't make me laugh.

the beatles vs the combined works of the smiths, the stone roses and oasis is equally no contest, one good album by stone roses and they are eulogised like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Oasis had two good albums and since they they have churned out medicrity.
clearly you've got your own highly subjective view, Im not saying your wrong, but I couldnt disagree more about the strength in depth bit, especially when this poll ropes in the charlatans (northwich) verve (wigan) and inspirals (bury) and counts them all as manchester.
