Tooth ache

Short of ripping my jaw off and beating the tooth to death with a hammer any short term solutions to stop pain?

I've taken so many pills I've started rattling so drinking myself numb isn't an option.

Clove oil - it stinks to high heaven but numbs the pain for a while.

Next to the royal, at the rear, the entrance is on London Road.

Brandy usually works for me. Numbs all sorts of pain.

wise words. I hadnt been for 8 years til a year ago, teeth ok but gums were fucked (ex-smoker). Thank christ I went when I did, cost me about 500 quid all in but gums-a-go-go now.

So get yerself to a proper dentist sharpish, unless you wanna sound like father Jack:

"FECK! GERLS! DRINK!"

I don't think you have to pay. If it's the same setup as the one in Sheff though I recommend taking a good book. One of the weighty ones from that other thread would do. If they ask you if you're in pain say "Yes". Don't at any point tell them you feel okay cos they'll send you home with an appointment for a few days later. You basically sit in various waiting rooms for the best part of a day waiting for the priviledge of some dental student making your face look and feel as though some dodgy thug took a dislike to you in a back alley. But I'm not bitter about about my 5 stitiches and week on liquid foods honest.
Don't let me put you off.
