Festival season

Who's been where? Bands that have rocked?

Off to the Leeds Festival for the day on Sunday...hopefully nice weather, good tunes and a cold (watered down) beer or 3.

Never been but just my idea of hell on earth.
Camping in a tent - good. Cold beer - good.
Loud music - depends what it is but as a rule - could you turn it down a bit.
Hoardes of smelly pissed people camped 2 feet from me.
Lines of vile communal porta loos.

am i missing out do you reckon?

The Charlatans...now, there's a band of my youth. Did some belters in their time and got better with age.

Why would you want to put your fingers in The Charlatans?

Re: Festival season

ATP weekend 2 back in June. Stayed in a chalet at Camber Sands holiday camp, which was luxury! Dinosaur Jr, Sleater Kinney and Broken Social Scene were the highlights.

Truck festival was a few weeks ago, and was the best festival I've ever been to. Best bands were Jetplane Landing, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Hundred Reasons, Regina Spector and Futureheads.

Enjoy Leeds - haven't been myself since 2003.

Re: Festival season

Being a young whippersnapper I'm off to Leeds tomorrow for the duration till monday morning.

There are loads of us going so its only mates camped around us and we take a 'piss n shit' bucket so no need for the disgraceful efforts they have at leeds.

This is my third year at leeds on the bounce, considering taking a spanner to make sure all the wools who rampage on the sunday stay away from my tent!

Should be fun...
