Any decent bars in town?

Haven't been into town for a while, can't be arsed with concert square and mathew street, but by the same token find all these nuvau bars (the type where you spot Hollyoaks type wankers) to be too souless and, well, boring! What is there to do? Get a bottled beer and stand by a pillar?

Are ther any hidden jems around with a low shaven head ratio and bit of originality? Decent sounds and some character? At this stage i'd even consider a Jazz club!

Re: Any decent bars in town?

Get down to Doctor Duncan's near Queen Square, or Thomas Rigby's on Dale Street.

CAMRA beers a plenty, not much in the way of fanny though.

Top class comment! I've been to Doctor Duncan's a few times its a nice gaff, not somewhere i'd want to finish the night though, really looking for somewhere i can end up.

The late lounge is sound, some butes who think they've got loads of money but it's not full of all the other pricks you seem to get in town nowadays.
