iRiver T20. Lovely little thing, great sound, nice functions, nice looking thing, even has a bit of red on it. Highly recommended.

Did anyone else feel that Mel Gibson's remake of the classic Life of Brian wasn't anywhere near as funny as the original?

4GB!? Really? I thought the most memory you could get on a phone was about 1GB. If they really are 4GB I think I may just have to have one.
What software does it use? I heard it was going to be Windows Media player on the Nokia phones. What's the sound quality like? Does it go up quite loud? I had a Sony w800i and the volume was pathetic.

Check out the Nokia site for Pics
It doesn't use a MMC card , it uses a Hard drive so very fast ...Uses Symbian , 2Megapixel camera with zoom lens and flash , real player ,flash player , cool Bluelights under the keys and software converts all conventional music types and xfers to the fone .Sound quality is almost as good as my Zen ...This fone is the dogs bollox...Will be out in Ireland soon ,next few months I'd say
I've already got 700 tracks on it and it has room for 3000 supposedly although I'd say it would be safer with 1500
Forgot to menttion volume , I've only had it a day and a half and already had 3 people complain about the noise to me .....added benefit , it uses standard headfones ( although theres a adapter so you can use the handsfree remote)

This is bollocks. Nothing compare, not even remotely close, to the integration of H/W (iPod) and S/W (iTunes). MP3 players, movie players etc., is in abundance, but none does the integration piece as good as the iPod/iTunes combo. FACT!

Ipods are the windows ME of the MP3 world
Zens are the Macs

I don't need any more. I don't want a huge lump to carry around. I don't always want to carry a phone around either, it is nice to be uncontactable.

Got one myself. Spot on better than Ipods in my opinion because they don't always break!

Nope. The integration of iTunes and iPod is better than anything else. Alot of the other thing you say are hundred percent correct, but not the integration between the H/W and S/W. Unreliable, I don't know what you're referring to here, can only go on the 4 iPods I have, the oldest is the original 5GB one, and that one has lasted me 3 years, and is still being used every day in the car. None of them has had a problem, ever! I have therefor no idea what the Aftersales or Support options are, I never had to use any of them, so can't say whether it is good or bad. Regarding mobile phones, then I'm the old-fashioned type. Mine doesn't have an mp3 player nor a camera built-in, it makes and receives calls, sends and receives sms's and nothing else. If I need to take a photograph, then I use a camera, if I need to listen to music, I use an mp3 player.

Re: I have just bought an mp3 player
its a tough call and only after 10 pints is it possible to answer. THe ipod is a 21 Centuary design classic and in the words of bill hicks, let me just pop that little bubble in your head that says "welllll maybe..." and no well maybe nothing. Lets get this straight in your little mind ipod = music mp3 player everything else is like the ford mondeo, functional but at the emd of the day shite.
