Bootle Golf course.
Any one played there recently? The last time I went (abar 2 months ago) The greens were Fuckin Crap. I was just wondering if they've got any better.

I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes.

Played there 2 weeks ago,Green's awful and i mean awful,yet still shot 84.Not much green on them and bumpy as fuck.

Have you played Southport Municipal?.A test of anybody's game.I've not played Royal Kirkby for years always thought it was as bad as Bootle.

Aint bin there for ages, last time I went though they were good...

I done work experience there and we worked very hard on em all day and they were spot on, so either they've changed the groundsmen or they can't be arsed anymore...more than likely the former and the groundsmen were spot on...

Play there every week and the Greens haven't got much better at all, apparently they got some disease as a result of leatherworm lavae and it takes ages to get better. Also they have let the rough grow about twice its normal length, dead sensible on a muni so play is depressingly slow. On a good note there is actually some sand in most of the bunkers now!

Try going over the water to Brackenwood, compared to Bootle and Kirkby links its fantastic as far as muni's go and worth trip to the darkside and its 25p cheaper!. Never tried Southport for one reason or another, maybe I'll give it a go this summer, was meant to play Bootle last night and its that s**t I couldn't be a***d and had a kip instead.

Beaken Park(sp) is a good muni aswell, Up in Skem, It plays in nearly all weather.

Aintree is not a bad little 9 holer if your looking for a decent game of golf. Quite cheap too.

Same here, I remeber when we first started goin out together and I went for a round of golf and she was horrified when I returned 5.5 hrs later without goin for a pint, she though a round of golf took one hr! Can't watch it on telly either, which is why we have multi room so I can watch sport in peace.

Can all OOT golfers please note that the municipal courses on the Wirral are crap - really not worth bothering with - on no sirreee - Arrowe Park, Brackenwood, Hoylake all crap - there's nothing to see here - move along please - no need whatsoever to come over and make the queue at the tee even bloody longer - I hear Bootle has some challenging greens though - try there instead.

Brackenwood is fucking ace. Arrowe Park i haven't played but Hoylake sucks. Best two in Liverpool are Bowring Park and Allerton. Boot
