Which biscuit is best?
Biscuits are an essential part of any diet, suitable for so many different nutritionary needs. Whether it's to make a cup of tea more drinkable, or to fill up after a crap meal, everyone loves a biccie. I am not really going to consider things like Kit-kats, Breakaways or Viscounts - they're a different genre altogether, although I've no idea what.
What's your favourite biscuit? Imagine you've got to go and live down the road from NP for a month any you're only allowed to order one type of biscuit to be flown in. You can mention others, but you're only allowed one biccie on the form.
For me, as much as I enjoy choccie digestives and plain digestives, the only true biscuit for every occasion is the custard cream. Can be dipped in tea if that's your want, can be eaten dry. Great biscuits, the best money can buy.
* For our US friends, biscuits are another word for cookies.
** For whoever it is that hates the little icon with a new thread, I put a question mark on for you.

Re: Which biscuit is best?
Just one? One biccie? It can't be done, surely it can't.
It would have to have chocolate on. So i'll go for a Foxes Chocolate Viennese I can't get enough of them. However I don't drink tea or coffee so my opinion on this subject isn't worth much.

Re: Which biscuit is best?
Chocky hobnobs rule but for versatility it would have to be a rich tea. Good for dunking, eating on its own or with cheese

Your avatar has reminded me of possibly the greatest biscuit of all time - the mighty custard cream. Although it's so mighty that I haven't eaten one in ages, will have to get some next time I do the shopping.
Sweet AND savoury. Don't see that very often.

Nothing gay aboot biscuits. I'm hungry, nobody's in and so it's off to the cupboard for the biscuit tin. Gays would think about cooking something at that point.
Custard Creams - manly.
Anti-wrinkle creams - fagotty.

Re: Which biscuit is best?
either foxes chocolate viennise
or marks and spencers viennise swirls, i cant have a cup of tea without at least 2 of these biscuits
my only bad mark about the foxes ones are, that the past 3 months or so they`ve stopped putting loads of chocy in them, the chocolate used to spill out the sies, now its all neat and tidy, which kinda pisses me off, this is coming froma chap that eats about 4 packets a week, and will NOT share them with anyone
id recommend to my fellow viennise lovers to try the marks and sparcs range, the swirls are off the hook ,but not enough in a packet

Re: Which biscuit is best?
Wasn't sure what all this Fox's Chocolate Viennese fuss was all aboot, so I had a quick Google. I really can't believe this, but someone has a site reviewing all biscuits:
http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.c...s.php3?item=59
Now I know which biscuits you mean, I remember having some over Christmas. Good, but looks like a luxury item as opposed to a decent all-rounder like my own fave.

Re: Which biscuit is best?
Due to my complete inability to leave any tasty item unattended for more than five minutes once it enters our house, we don't have biscuits at ours. However, I will happily scoff virtually any type for as long as there are any left.
Favourite depends upon mood, but there are these wicked Scottish ones from the deli in Oxton that are ginger and completely coated in thick dark chocolate. Now that's what I'm talking about.
However, a biscuit I have never understood is the Rich Tea. What the fuck? It's like eating sawdust (pre-dunk) or soggy toilet roll (post-dunk). Shit.
