Re: Easter Sunday?

It's because Christmas Day is a date(25th Dec) and Easter Sunday is a day. Therefore the date changes every year but I think it does has a specific criteria for which sunday of the month it is.

Re: Easter Sunday?

Something to do with how many full moons there are after something else has happened but before something else happens.

Or something.

It's all here: http://aa.usno.navy.mil/faq/docs/easter.html in the first page that came up from googling "Easter Sunday", but I think my answer was better.

Re: Easter Sunday?

Yeah but if he was born on the same day why didn't he die and ergo (if you believe in all that) rise on the same day every year.

Can't see him saying "Hey guys I'm a capricorn born on 25th December but I died on a load of different days in the spring so just pick one you like each year and celebrate that. Oh and I like eggs made of chocolate"

Just doesn't make sense to my logical brain.

I demand Easter is the same date every year.

Fantastic. Ta RR. I will sleep soundly in my bed tonight now. Especially knowing Easter Day is on my birthday next year.

Stupid question,Mav.How can Easter be fixed when Epiphany isn't?

Heathens have been beheaded for less.

The epiphany is fixed isn't it? I thought that was the 6th January.

Do you mean ascension?

It's because Allah forbids it.
