Secret Santa: Received CDs!
This is the thread where people who have received their CD can thank their secret santa, and tell everybody else what they thought of the CD.
1) If you aren't part of SS05, don't post here
2) One post per user
3) Enjoy!

Re: Secret Santa: Received CDs!
Got mine a couple of days ago (from DT as Haje cut me out of the deal!!!). It's not all pushing my buttons (whose would?), but I'm loving a bit of Johnny Cash and Lou Reed, whilst Springsteen, Jeff Buckley and Pearl Jam are also hitting positive notes. I still hate Michael Stipe's whiney voice, though. Overall, I'm happy with my CD.

Nice one. I'll keep my ears open for the sound of Huskies.
I hope the Canadian content is more Joanie Mitchell and Neil Young than Celne Dion and Bryan Adams.

Threw a little Neil on with an English twist. I was going to put some Bryan Adams on, but when I put on one of his ballads my cigarette lighter set fire to the tower stand and had to start all over again.

No worries lad, all the best. Hope you like the tape. Took a long time to mix and match those tunes (play, pause, stop, play, pause stop, rewind, chewed taped etc.).
The t-shirt is a substitute for xmas wrapping paper. My missus tried to cut the arms and neck of the tshirt to make it look trendy. She failed fantastically!

Re: Secret Santa: Received CDs!
Received my cd about two weeks ago along with a copy of the City FM / Aldo coverage of the CL Final.
Love the cd, especially 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. Lennon at his greatest. Nice one.

Re: Secret Santa: Received CDs!
Just a quick one to thank the Scandanavian dude who did my CD, and a quick sorry to my recipient, who has yet to receive their's. Will PM them. But it might be a clue if I say the delay is due to some sad news I have had back from the messenger seal company I normally use for trans-atlantic deliveries. RIP Sammy the Seal.

Sorry but I forgot to tell you it was from me. All songs are from norwegian artists btw.
I've not recieved any CD myself.

Re: Secret Santa: Received CDs!
Finally got mine today. Thanks NP, it's sound. I'd never heard the Tragically Hip before but I like the sound of them already. The last 2 tracks brought a tear to my eye, 'Spanish Eyes' because it was my Grandad's favourite song and played at his funeral and 'Amazing Grace' because it reminds me of Shankly.
Not too sure about YMCA though, mate.

Cheers.
Always loved 'Amazing Grace' when it's the pipes.

Haje's "techie magic sort it all out" program didn't work, Knut. We told him and he promptly disappeared off the forum and hasn't posted since. Loads of us were left high and dry (including the one who came up with the idea - me). However, DT, Stu and I have done a bit of a swap. Have you done a CD for someone else?
