Spanish youth international Antonio Barragan struck on the half hour mark to give Liverpool Reserves a one goal half time lead over Wolves at the Racecourse Ground. Darren Potter's excellent through ball released Barragan and he toe poked the ball past Wolves keeper Stefan Postma from ten yards.
Potter has been the reds most creative player in a pretty uneventful half, despite operating in an unfamiliar left sided midfield role. Austrian teenager Besian Idrizaj is making his first start for the reserves, and has worked hard up front with Ramon Calliste.
We will have a brief report at the full time whistle, and a full report on the game tomorrow.
