Barbera Bush -What a nutter
Guess we now know where Dubya gets it from
Barbara Bush: Things Working Out 'Very Well' for Poor Evacuees from New Orleans
By E&P Staff
Published: September 05, 2005 7:25 PM ET updated 8:00 PM
NEW YORK Accompanying her husband, former President George
H.W.Bush, on a tour of hurricane relief centers in
Houston, Barbara Bush said today, referring to the
poor who had lost everything back home and evacuated, "This is working very well for them."
The former First Lady's remarks were aired this
evening on American Public Media's "Marketplace"
program.
She was part of a group in Houston today at the
Astrodome that included her husband and former
President Bill Clinton, who were chosen by her son,
the current president, to head fundraising efforts for
the recovery. Sen. Hilary Clinton and Sen. Barack
Obama were also present.
In a segment at the top of the show on the surge of
evacuees to the Texas city, Barbara Bush said: "Almost
everyone I’ve talked to says we're going to move to
Houston."
Then she added: "What I’m hearing which is sort of
scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is
so overwhelmed by the hospitality.
"And so many of the people in the arena here, you
know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she
chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

They haven't got a clue. Would love a big tornado to whip their ranch intgo oblivion, then evacuate them to Minneapolis in the domed stadium there ask her how it's working out?
Her comment aboot it being 'scary' ....
Translation: Omigod George, Texas is going to be full of black folk. There goes the nighborhood. Watch how fast they rebuild NO so all the black folk can go home.

It would be funny, if it wasnt so depressingly sad.

Which is all no worse than calling, in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 for a 'crusade' against muslims !
Even more worrying is the fact he's just secured a second term, a big colective DOH to the US voting public, and even MORE worrying than that, is that the pain being reaped in NO, has been sown in part by his countries contribution to global warming a phenomenom that until recently his office denied existed.
If things like this can kill 10k in a major US city, how many more will be washed off the face of the earth before somethigs done. And if Babs Bushs sentiments are widespread amongst the white, protestant, male dominated corporate US world, will they ever give a shit ?

Aye ! Strange to think that Bill, the laid back, hands across the water pres, was the one to authorise Cruise missle strikes to attack the problem os 'global terrorism', while Dubya came to power and smashed all that up, talking up a US that looks after its own. His whole election campaign was about back to basics, god, vitamins and god (it was like a Hulk Hogan post match interview) and how the US werent going to get caught up in any more wars and how we werent there to look after everyone else.
Yet, Bill is the one who really cared and who would have been en excellent president nay world leader at this time. with so many natural and man made probelms facing us on a global scale.

Re: Barbera Bush -What a nutter
I meant the GF Bill but you're right - that's two Bills who would and one of them probably already has.

Re: Barbera Bush -What a nutter
To be fair to Babs, she does have a very good point. From what I've seen of New Orleans, it was a proper shithole before god sent the cleaners in. Katrina has done them a bit of a favour, whilst ridding the earth of a good handful of lazy scrounging tax-burdens into the bargain.
Did anyone see Joe Trailertrash on the news last night refusing to vacate his house unless the army shipped his 9 dogs out as well? Fucking loser. They should have shot the dogs and the low-life owner for his cheek. In fact, they should have saved the tax payer a couple of pence by saving the bullets and drowning the cunts instead.

Greg Palast rules.
Bill Bailey does a sketch mocking America and showing how they don't want a president but a priest. Apparenlty over half of the country believe in the devil, you know little pointy fork and everything. Wankers. So they want it to be run as a little church.
