Liverpool Reserves are drawing 1-1 with Newcastle at half time, after conceding a sloppy goal a minute before the break. Florent Sinama-Pongolle put the reds in front after 13 minutes with a well taken strike after great play by Jack Hobbs, and other chances went begging as Paco Herrera's side played some good attacking football.
Djimi Traore played half an hour before being replaced by James Smith. He looked to have suffered no reaction to his injury, and had only been scheduled to play for 30 minutes.
Triallist Ramon Calliste has looked lively up front alongside the excellent Pongolle, and Adam Hammill has been in very good form on the left wing, giving the Geordies all kinds of problems.
We will have a brief report at full time, and a full report and pictures tomorrow.
