Just downloaded their album and have to say on first impressions it's excellent.
In the process of downloading Kasabian, Razorlight and The Ordinary Boy's album's - anyone got an opinion on them?

Re: The Killers
I got the ordinary boys album a few weeks back. Not had chance to listen to it properly yet but what I've heard so far has been good.

Re: The Killers
Some of the Ordinary boys stuff is really annoying but some has nice hooks and melody in it.
Killers are dope, very decent band indeed!
Razorlight album is full of decent songs but might not have the lastability of some albums around.
Stu's Current tips - Interpol (out on monday, get involved), Hope of the states, The Stills and the might Bloc Party (no date as yet for album if there isn't one soon i may blow up).

Re: The Killers
I don't like what you are inferring there Party Boy. I do not write for it as it does suck and my wit and humour would be out of place there!
Love the way they support someone like coldplay then murder them for doing a second album on the same vibe because they've become successful, therefore selling out!

Re: The Killers
Yes I did. A lad in work says it all the time, at first i thought it rediculous and wanted to punch him in the face when he said it. Now I have come round to it in a kind of half taking the piss out of saying half not kind of way.
Don't judge me just cos you're old and not down with the kids Ross!
Yes I am the bloke who writes in the fanzine Party Boy, i'm the one who just slags everything and everyone and brings things down to my level!*
*This is false modesty, In fact I am the greatest comedy writer ever and should be lauded as such...and one thing's for sure I deserve better than to spend my days cooped up in this padded room......"Nurse, get back here before I cast a spell on you...I know people dammit!!"

Re: The Killers
Just got the new Wilco album off my old man, really really really good stuff. There is a track on it, track 8, which has been on constant repeat all day it is one of the best things i've heard, ever. Beautiful.
Get on it muso dudes.

Re: The Killers
I have no track listing, just the cd. I am really surprised how good it is, I expected it to be a bit americana/countrified but it's awesome.
He also gave me an album by "Stuboss" which although an exellent name for a band was not that good.

Re: The Killers
Interpol's first album is class, i plugged it on this very forum about 18 months ago. Still sounds class now. Haven't heard the new single, wasn't aware it wa "pimp" (????) but will deffo get on the new album today.
Love the way that "pimp" and "dope" are used in an indie discussion. Cultural crossovers rule.

Re: The Killers
Very true homie, very true.
Turn on the bright lights is the first album and does still sound great 2 years on. Saw them live a year ago and they were brilliant. Apparently they are doing a gig in little old London and supporting them..........Blco Party!!!
Dammit i'd love to see them they are the shnizzle fersizzle......(or something those black, hippidy-hop singers might say!)

Re: The Killers
did you see them at manchester uni? Me and my bird went to that and it was full of goths which was a bit freaky - i wasn't aware they had a goth following. The new album is brilliant by the way, one track "Not Even Jail" is the best thing they've ever done.

Re: The Killers
Nah, saw them at the academy on the NME bill with Starsailor, Polyphonic spree, the datsuns and Amen (who were terrible, the worst death metal shite ever).
Gonna be getting a nice big stash of hmv vouchers on thurday as my leaving present at work so will be investing in the new album.
You heard any Wilco Longo, they are really decent.
