It's all very odd. Surely if you get sacked you have a chance to learn some humility. He did well at Bolton. Nobody can argue with that (though you can certainly argue with their style). He earned a chance with a bigger club and blew it. To now come out with this stuff is ludicrous!

So, for arguments sake, who is bigger than Newcastle? Well, there's the 'big four' - he's got no chance of any of those jobs. Ever. Then you could say Spurs are bigger. Again, he's got no chance of that job. You could argue Everton, Man City and Villa are there or thereabouts. Again, no chance of those jobs.

If he wants another job in the Prem it will have to be with one of the lower clubs, since those jobs tend to come around a fair bit. He's a Boro/Fulham/Wigan calibre manager. Nothing more.
