PS3 Games thread
Got a few now, so here's a bit of a rundown:
Motorstorm: fucking fantastic game, like Star Wars pod racing but with all sorts of bikes, trucks, rally cars, buggys etc. Mental tracks, excellent multiplayer, loads of fun.
Pro Evo 2008: disappointing, but not unplayable. Its heavily documented how rushed this was, and how little of the hardware it makes use of, but its still Pro Evo. Online is a bit of joke still though, lag everywhere (even patched). But at least the patch sorted out most of the slowdown in the single-player.
Drakes Fortune: excellent, polished Indiana Jones type adventure. Some very clever effects and full use of HD make this feel really cinematic, but it isn't very long though (took about 10 hours to finish). Combat is really good too, and there is loads of secret shit to collect so it is replayable.
Burnout Paradise: just got it, hard to get into (seems a bit aimless when you begin), but might just be a monster of a game hiding in there somewhere. Too early to say for sure, but the game engine looks very nice and shiny. Soundtrack has all the old Burnout out tunes too, thumbs up for that.
Resistance: Fall of Man: I just don't get FPS on a console. Looks a bit dated already, fells clunky and I bet COD4 pisses all over this (although I've only got that for PC).
Feel free to add to the list.
