As S31 says, these things are a minefield. There are so many women queueing up to throw themselves at players that the players take the attitude they can have any girl who talks to them. The problem for any girl that talks to them is that just by talking to players, everyone assumes you're a dirty little slapper who's up for it, so sympathy or belief is usually not forthcoming if anything happens. Wrong, but true.
