I think it's three weeks in a row now I've had to send a Thursday morning text to The Great Dane telling him that I'm not playing and, unfortunately, I can see that being a theme that continues. I so badly want to keep playing but I just physically can't do it. I have training on a Wednesday and there's a reason my team are still unbeaten in the league coming into xmas: there's massive competition for places and quality players. I have to run myself into the ground every Wednesday night and it tells, especially on people who have a running style and arched feet that make him borderline disabled. Playing again on a Thursday would mean that, firstly, I'd be putting in less effort due to my fucked up feet and also, secondly, not recovering properly for Saturday.
It makes me a sad panda but I think my appearances may be rare.

Fear not mister. TLW footy has not been the same for the weeks I've been missing too. I won't be there until the new year (in fact you saddos had better start considering the tlw footy scheduling over Malarkey's festive period soon, so I can prebook my first-class rail tickets).
When I do make it, I will of course be sporting an upgraded tan. The sun's lightening my hair too. You'll all be chasing me round the pitch trying to get my kit off.
