I remember walking a couple of miles from my nan's caravan at Uphill along to the sadly departed "Saunders Supermarket" every weekend when I was 14/15 with a load of mates and getting absolutely shitfaced on the stuff; furthermore as I have mentioned elsewhere, Brean Fair was also a favourite haunt, and Thatchers was all that you could get. I was also a massive fan of Scrumpy Jack when it was first launched, as my then-girlfriend's foster father worked for them and as such it worked out at 10p a bottle. Happy days.
Incidentally, "Natch", for anyone that doesn't know, is the stuff that 11 year olds drink near parks, and is basically engine-oil mixed with apple juice - vagrants that drink Special Brew or Tennents Super turn their nose up at Natch.
I feel a return to ciderdom coming on soon, too. (Although not on the same night as bitterdom )

I used to work in Tiverton for a while, so had access to Sheppy's, located between Taunton and Tiverton on the A38. Do some ace cider's too. Suitable for school visits according to the website.

But you cant whack a good Thatchers. But due to years of park drinking I can't manage anymore that a couple of pints of any cider.
Anyway for park drinking I would have had you down as a Buckfast man. Its all about the effect when drinking in a park.
