The question remains, did west ham have the right to take the 'extended loan' fee for Mascherano? Was he in fact a registered West Ham player? Did Liverpool pay the money to someone else? Did they pay the money to West Ham, only to have West Ham slide the cash over to ...someone else....
Mascherano, and Liverpool, could well get caught up in this.
