Shouldn't it be Jesus vs Muhammed?

I was actually pretty surprised the other day to learn the following: They (muslims) do not regard Muhammad as the founder of a new religion, but as the restorer of the original monotheistic faith of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets.

Essentially they seem to beleive in religions such as Christianity etc, but with the idea that Mohammed was the final prophet who put it 'back on track'. They actually believe that it was Angel Gabriel that delivered the message of Islam to Mohammed.

Someone is going to tell me I'm wrong now!
