GH fucked Vladi about in my opinion.

He ouzed class playing a central role behind the attackers, but was persistently wasted on the right where his lack of physical presence/pace was exposed. Vladi was a class footballer, a thinker. Although I respect and thank Houllier for what he acheived in his time, he didn't know what to do with a thinking footballer.
