Another shout for worst manager might be Keegan. He didn't exactly cover himself in glory, but at least he had the good grace to fall on his sword.
I think the FA dropped a clanger in sacking Hoddle. I thought he was doing OK as England manager. OK, he said something stupid, but I don't think we've progressed one bit since getting rid of him.

Agree with you about Hoddle, one of those managers who made a better international manager than a club manager.
He did make some mistakes but all the FA had to do was pull him to one side and tell him to focus on the job in hand and keep his beliefs to himself but this is the same bunch of twats that appointed Taylor and McLaren.
I remember Peter Swales saying just before euro 92 "thank goodness we appointed Taylor who is a great manager we could have been stuck with Bobby Robson" says everything about the mindset of idiots running our football
