Its easier for me to keep an eye on it as its my job. If you've been done once though it becomes a strange battle of wills. I managed to stop the thieving little cunt in between him trying it for £1 and then trying it for more. Still without my cards for well over a week though.

Not sure about the petrol station. Its the only place I can think of that's likely to be the cause and I use it almost daily. Staff seem to be change every day, not a major chain, and its the shiftiest place I can think of. Petrol stations are pretty near the top of the food chain where this sort of thing is concerned.
