It's a dreadful, soulless, cold and empty film. It allows the most irritating of characters unwarranted screentime, whilst characters we would like to learn more of are dismissed with merely a cursory nod towards dialogue and character development (Darth Maul being the most obvious example of this).
I actually went to America with a few mates to watch this film as soon as it was released, such was the sense of anticipation surrounding the event. Sad to say we were all hugely disappointed with what we'd just seen and couldn't believe you could make anything with the 'Star Wars' name attached to it so dull and annoying.
For me it's the 'crowning turd in the waterpipe' of the Star Wars franchise.
