The reason I do that is it's easier to keep track of how many people have viewed the report. Otherwise the item on the front page will hardly have any views but the report itself will have loads. It saves me having to go into the 1st team reports forum to check how many people have read it, and also, it doesn't look good if the article on the front page only has 100 or so views.
Potential advertisers who come on the site will look at the main homepage, and so I need an accurate reflection on there of who is reading what. So that's why I link to that one. I know it's a pain in the arse, but the way the site is set out I can't really do it any other way.
I can't have the report itself on the front page, because the page is laid out differently and wouldn't look right on the homepage. And I can't just put the report into the 'news' forum because it needs to be in the 1st team reports section.
