I always thought that Crouchamania came about in large part as a reaction to all the stick that he got when he joined us and when he was booed for England - it was maybe a bit tongue in cheek, but I've never seen it as anything other than complimentary and supportive. Crouchy is obviously a really easy-going bloke with a sense of humour, so I'm sure he'll get it.
I don't know if Carra has mentioned it to him, but I would have thought he would do. I should have asked him the other day when I told him about that website business and the Crouch song.

You're right about where Crouchamania came from. It started because of the objections a lot of fans had when we signed him. It grew because of the England thing and his goal drout (how the fuck do you spell 'drout', I know thats wrong but never know how to spell it and usually use the word 'shortage' or 'famine' to avoid looking thick) and the stick he got because of it.
