Canada undefeated against NI in three matches (1995 in Edmonton 2-0, 1999 in Belfast 1-1). NI hit at least three posts, Mike Taylor touched the ball once (he picked it out of the net). However, the Canadian resilience that took Vimy Ridge in WW1 where others failed, the lessons learned at Dieppe in 1942, the first peacekeepers in Cyprus for the fledgling UN, Banting and his discovery of insulin in Toronto, John Candy, has carried the day.


Can't wait for South Africa 2010 :)
