Re: Poxy motorways

Just got back from a week of driving single track roads in the Highlands and the Greater (sic) Manchester conurb is a shock to the system. Had a meeting in Glasgow yesterday morning. Left Sheff at 5am. Snake, M67, M60, M61, M6, A74. All empty. Beautiful drive. Then I hit Manc on my way back about 4ish. Nightmare. A 20 min queue to get off the M67 cos some idiots objected to the route of the Mottram bypass. The only other option is M62, M1 which puts me in Leeds at about 5pm. No way.

A friend of mine once met a guy who was responsible for designing the M60 and told him what she thought of it. I wish I'd had the opportunity. Horrible bottlekneck full of clueless morons.

Crawley tomorrow, via Reading. Yipee.
