Probably not

Think it's done from a device that fits onto the phone to unlock it. The code you're thinking of is the PUC code. This simply unlocks the phone if you lock it accidently (ie: enter password three times etc etc) or it allows you to transfer your phone to another network (as if you had a contract phone and wanted to keep your number but move to another networks contract).

I might be wrong though, but I don't think so
