Aye there are all sorts of baffling options. I just use the Audyssey settings and then adjusted the speaker levels.

I've got a separate Mordaunt Short sub and some new bi-polar side surround speakers, bloody marvellous for watching films.

If you look on AV forums there are some Onkyo owners threads and an Onkyo/PS3 owners thread which are dead useful for getting the most out of the systems.
Setting these speaker things up for the optimal setting for PS3, DVD and telly is a pain. What sound setting do you have your on when just watching normal telly?

Few little weird things I need to get my head round. It seems to click itself off/on when I do live pause/fast forward/rewind in sky+. Also turns to some weird audio setting when the PS3 is at the menu (real audio or summat), before changing when you put a game/film on. Which connection is your PS3 through? Is it VCR/DVR or DVD?

The auto speaker set up doesn't have them loud enough either so I'll have to see to that as the manual amendment resets itself when you turn the unit off.

Hard work this shit.
