OK, read right through this thread and I have read an awful lot of the ones mentioned but I have picked out some recommendations. I am now going to order...

Stephen King - The Stand
Don Winslow - The power of the dog
J.D Slinger - The catcher in the rye


I currently have a small pile of books to get through including; Russell Brand - My booky wook & one I picked up today; Ronnie Thompson- Screwed (about a prison guard telling it how it is).

At the moment I am reading Danny Wallace - The yes man, which is quite good but you just know he is telling a few porkies to make the book more colourful.
