Bastards at SKY - Advice needed

After having some trouble with virginmedia, a SKY salemsman knocked on my door last month and offered me a package for the TV, phone and broadband. This package was a bit more expensive than virgin, but included one premium channel (I got family movies for the kids, with the intention of swapping it to sport for the boys in August).

Because I didn't have a BT phone line, I was told by the toady salesman to sort out getting one installed, and when it had been done to get back in touch with them and they'd set up my phone and broadband, free of charge. In the meantime, I had the TV sorted out and have had it for the last fortnight. I was surprised to see that you don't even get freeview channels unless you pay for them (I've got kids, music, 2 shit movie channels, BBC 1 - Channel 5 and nothing else).

Anyway, I had the BT line fitted last week, at a cost of 125 bastard quid, and paid £57 to SKY for set-up and stuff. I also stayed with virginmedia so I could still have my Phone and BB in the meantime.

I phoned SKY last night to tell them that the phoneline was working and to arrange having the broadband set up. It was only at this point they told me that my area isn't set up for SKY broadband, so I'd have to pay an additional £17 a month for 2mb broadband (from them via a 3rd party provider I presume?). I'm fucking fuming. I've signed a 12 month contract, and the toady salesman must have known BB wasn't available in our street. I'm now stuck with a contract paying 25 quid a month more than I was paying VirginMedia for a similar package, plus I've already forked out close to £200 for bugger all.

What would you do? Pay the extra and quit moaning; or demand a refund for all the money I've paid so far and stick with Virgin, whilst demanding disciplinary action for the toady salesman? Would you inform trading standards?
