Good stuff Jim, yeah I remember you were gonna give it a crack last year. I've done one at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester and it was a top laugh but a real inspiration for brown pants.

One thing you're not prepared for is that you can't see anything when you get up except for the lights, all I could see was light and an angry looking asian girl with a shaved head in the front row by my feet.

Make sure you've rehearsed everything pretty much word for word too. It's easy to think you can just go up and fuck around a bit the way you do with your mates in the canteen, i.e "isn't this funny, seen that on the telly last week how mad's that?" then if they don't laugh it knocks you off your stride and it's like 'oh fuck, what was that thing about the special olympics I was gonna do?'

The more it's hard wired into your head the more you've got to fall back on and just keep going if you hit a blip.
