Take the side off the case, you'll see a button battery (CR2032) on the mainboard. Take that out, give it a lick (seriously) to see if it's still alive. You'll get a similar tingle on your tongue like you do from licking a 9V battery/electrolytic capacitor if the battery is OK.

If not, change that battery and all should be well. Amongst other things, that battery is what keeps the internal clock/calendar on your PC ticking over when it's switched off.
Why the fuck do i feel like that will result in me loosing sensation in the tip of my tongue for a week?

Are they expensive? if not, i can just replace the battery without sticking my tongue on it?

Saving any possible damage to my tongue should any suck treat action be offered this month.Or lifetime.
