Am I right in thinking teams being relegated from the Prem are getting more money than those being promoted into the Prem.

They have to give healthy parachute payments or any side relegated would go bankrupt because of the disparity between the Premiership standard wages most of their players are on and the pitiful income they'll enjoy in the championship.

The money for the promoted sides is for the coming season and isn't paid in one big chunk. It's also exaggerated in the press because the figure quoted usually includes the parachute money they'll get coming back down again.
