OK one particular example in recent times would be chelseas 3rd goal in the champs league. Riise was out of position, but then when anelka gets in behind him, rather than try and get back and make a tackle, he stands there with his arm up trying to claim offside.

he should be running back trying to make up for his errors rather than try and con the ref into sparing his blushes. Im sure I could think of more.
