All newspaper speculation. Im surprised many seem to take what the Daily Wail says as gospel in this instance.

Besides any 'paycut for Owen wont kick in until he signs a new contract. Plenty of other clubs in the PL would pay him more than 60k a week though so, newcastle would be on a loser.
